Outdoor Fun at Loon's Bay Cabin

Whether it be fishing, wildlife watching, canoeing, swimming, biking, hiking or just relaxing to the sights and sounds of the Northwoods, you can do it here. The cabin is perfect for those who enjoy an outdoor lifestyle and are looking for a more authentic "Up North" experience. In winter we are right on Snowmobile trail #15 and also close to several excellent X-country ski trails. Ice fishing is also popular.

Wildcat and Big Kitten Lake are listed as Class "A" Musky waters. There are excellent oppurtunities for action with Muskies here. The Wildcat lake chain is a relatively shallow drainage lake. Water clarity is good with slight tannin stain color. There are abundant weed beds and good shoreline structure. With 5 islands the lake fishes larger than its 360 acres. Walleye are found here in good numbers as well. Smallmouth, largemouth, Crappie, and Bluegills are also common. Northern pike are present but not common. Ice fishing can be productive for Walleye and panfish.
